04 Oct 09 - Goole, The Trent, New Holland

On Sunday 4 September a brief spell of autumn sunshine in the midst of our probably even briefer Indian summer tempted me down to Goole and the Trent for the afternoon. In all honesty there wasn't a lot around but the weather was too good to miss. I managed to resist the strong temptation to go to Hook for yet another photograph of Cementina and headed straight for Goole where there were five ships including one new sighting. The Trent had one at Neap House, two at Grove and one at Gunness, including another new sighting. And, because the weather was so good, I decided to head over to New Holland where there was a third new sighting on offer. A long way around for not much return but the sunshine was pleasant, the fresh air was great and the exercise was probably highly beneficial.
