To Hartlepool on Sunday 13th September for lunch with friends. I had been hoping to catch a bulk carrier at the Ore Terminal, given that it's quite likely that there will be very few more such visitors. However, this was not to be and the omens were a little sparse in terms of other movements. However there was a geared bulker alongside at Irvine's Quay and this was enough to temp me to Hartlepool Docks for a very quick visit. As luck would have it I was also able to get a very reasonable sequenee of the small, ex Russian, survey vessel Finder entering port, and a couple of photos of her oppo Clupea already alongside at the Deep Water Berth. So, although it wasn't possible to get down to the riverside after lunch, three new ships was a pretty good score for such a very short visit.
