| One of the first features of cruises is that, eventually, they come to an end, and we’re now getting close to the end of this one. Gdynia was the last port call, although that didn’t mean these will be the last ships because there is still the two passage from Gdynia to Southampton to come and, of course, the return to Southampton itself. The weather in Gdynia was excellent but sadly, we were berthed some way away from the main commercial docks so, whilst it was better than Tallinn, the body count was again a little on the low side. The main feature of this port call was the large number of Polish Naval vessels that I was able to photograph; and, after Kronstadt, it was a pleasure to see that every one of them was in excellent condition and looked very well maintained (as befits a NATO country, of course). |
