11 Feb 08 - Goole and the Trent
17th February 2008

At last, some sunshine. Not only that but lots and lots of ships. Seduced by the good weather, I decided to chuck a flexi from work and head off for Goole and points south. In fact I started at Howdendyke and, with one small exception, managed to photograph every ship between there and Keadby Bridge. And there were a lot to photograph – 24 in total, with 6 being new sightings and a couple of renamings that I hadn’t seen previously. I can’t remember when I saw so many ships around the old stamping ground; Goole alone had 12 (13 if you count Coquet Mouth that I didn’t photograph) with 3 in the West Dock, 1 in Stanhope Dock, 3 in the South dock, 4 in the Barge Dock and one at the Gantry. Only Aldam Dock was empty.
