On Sun 13 Jan Herself saw fit to grant me leave to go out on my own for the afternoon, so I headed for the usual spots, hoping to get six new ships. In fact, it turned out to be rather better than that, and the finally tally was 7. The weather wasn’t exactly sparkling – in fact it was downright dull. But, at least it didn’t rain and the dull, flat light worked in my favour at Grove. The highlight of the day was bumping into Gerrit Bosma, the master of Tharsis, and having a brief chat with him. And to the lady I met on the swing bridge at the West Dock – I hope your grandson progresses rapidly to taking his own ship photographs. With the amount of interest he’s showing it won’t be long before he has his own website.
